Marc Muszynski
Marc (he/him) is a writer and comedian from Chicago, who, despite being visually impaired, once convinced someone to let him fly an airplane.
Along with his writing partner, Alexandra Franklin, Marc is currently a Producer on the Dexter prequel series for Showtime. Their writing spans comedy and drama, including Polly Pocket (Netflix), Abby’s (NBC), and Dexter: New Blood (Showtime), where their work on the finale was nominated for an HCA Award for Best Writing. They've also developed original projects with Disney, Sony/Counterbalance, and Fifth Season.
Before moving to L.A., Marc toured the country performing sketch and improv. He loves barbecue, history podcasts, table-top role-playing games, and being the optimist in the escape room. His videos for BuzzFeed, Funny or Die and Honest Trailers have over 42 million views.
When Marc’s third-grade teacher told the class, “You can be anything you want when you grow up,” Marc announced that he wanted to be an astronaut. She immediately told him to think of something more practical because of his disability. A few weeks later, Marc got himself a full-ride scholarship to Space Camp. ...Where he promptly crashed a shuttle simulator and discovered how awful rehydrated ice cream tastes. Writing is a much better path for Marc, but he did learn that you can’t let anyone else tell you what you’re capable of. That’s why Marc tells stories about unlikely heroes. The unchosen ones. The people who aren’t supposed to fly, but figure out a way to do it anyway.
