Jenn Lloyd
Jenn (she/her) is a writer & blogger originally from New Jersey. She moved to Los Angeles and began writing sketch comedy with Second City LA while working as an NBC Page. During this time, she was set up on a blind date with her writing partner, Kevin Bonani. While they weren’t headed for wedded bliss, the two decided to form a writing partnership and head straight to the divorce phase by splitting a paycheck.
Together they started their television writing career on sitcoms such as FOX’s The War At Home and CBS’s Accidentally On Purpose. It was during this time that Jenn was diagnosed with a rare and painful connective tissue disorder called hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. EDS, as the cool kids call it, effects 1 in 20,000 people and basically means Jenn can dislocate her joints at any time. It also means Jenn can literally bend over backwards to get the job done.
Her writing work with Kevin is often about unlikely friendships, centered on flawed characters seeking redemption, and filled with hard jokes. Jenn was a recipient of Inevitable Foundation’s Elevate Collective Award in 2022 and is an Inevitable Foundation Fall 2023 Accelerate Fellow.
Jenn and Kevin have spent the bulk of their 15-year writing career staffed on family sitcoms for Disney Channel and Nickelodeon such as Shake It Up, The Thundermans, KC Undercover, and The Barbarian and The Troll. While they love writing fart jokes, they’re looking to transition back into writing more adult material.
Jenn is also a solo world traveler with a successful blog, Sick Girl Travels, where she writes about accessible travel for travelers with disabilities. She has visited 40 US states, 32 countries, and 6 continents. In 2019, she made five trips to northern China where together with local activists, she helped rescue dogs from the dog meat trade.
Jenn lives in Los Angeles with her French bulldog, Madelyn Pew, her ball python, Mr. Drummond, a plethora of veil tail angel fish, and her fabulous fiancé, Jim, who helps keep up with their zoo.
Jenn and Kevin are repped by Rob Kim and Daniel Perry at Buchwald.
