The Future Party Newsletter: Disabled screenwriters find mentorship and investment with Inevitable Foundation

A new nonprofit organization called Inevitable Foundation is trying to close the gap in disability representation behind the camera. Specifically, the foundation just launched a mentorship program and $25K grants for disabled screenwriters. The first two fellows are Shani Am. Moore (who has multiple sclerosis) and Kalen Feeney (who is deaf). Currently, people with disabilities make up 20% of the population but less than 1% of working, professional writers.
