Resources for Musicians and Industry Workers Impacted by the L.A. Fires

By Thania Garcia

Numerous nonprofit organizations and mental health coalitions are offering disaster relief for members of the entertainment and music industries affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.

Officials said Thursday that they are still assessing the number of losses, but have confirmed more than 1,000 homes have burned down in the Palisades fire and roughly 1,000 more were lost to the Eaton fire. These communities are home to hundreds of musicians and independent contractors, with many of those people losing not only their lodging, but their recording studios and equipment.

Inevitable Foundation

The Inevitable Foundation, a non-profit working to close the disability representation gap in the entertainment industry, has re-opened their Emergency Relief Fund to directly support disabled creatives impacted by the crisis. This includes destroyed homes, unforeseen evacuation costs, negative health impacts, and lost employment as a result of the ongoing fires.
